What better way to start the new year than being parents to the most beautiful baby boy. On October 25th at 1:30am, i was laying in bed sound asleep. To my surprise I was woken up by my water breaking. I sat up all night just timing my contractions until about 6:30 when we finally decided to head to the hospital. We arrived there around 7:00 am and the journey began! These pictures were when everything was still enjoyable...

The day went by pretty fast and my labor was slowly progressing!

At about 9:00 pm, Dr. Parsons (coolest Dr. ever!) came in and said it was time to start pushing. At 9:57 we got to meet our little angel. Mason James Pullenza. He weighed 7lbs 12 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long.

Before we knew it, it was time to go home and start our life as a family.

The other day a girl asked me how many day's I had left in my pregnancy, and to my surprise I had no idea. I felt bad that I didn't know the answer. It kinda felt like when you were dating someone and you got asked how many day's or month's you had been dating and you did'nt know the answer. I really felt like I should know, soo I made this really cheesy paper chain. It's like the kind you used to make as a kid when you were counting down christmas. So I figured out that I had 103 days left and I cut out and stapled 103 rings together and thumb tacked it to the wall. So now when someone asks how many day's I have left, I will always know!

So one day I was watching Oprah and they had this whole episode on this crazy lady who is an expert coupon clipper. She saves so much money and ends up getting soo much for free. So I thought... who does'nt want to save money? Well I had no idea it was soooo involved. I found this website called krazycouponlady.com and she posts all the latest deals and coupons but also tells you exactly how to become a "Krazy Coupon Lady". I looked at her blog a little and decided to cut out some coupons to use at my next grocery shopping trip. Well, I ended up saving $12.00. Which did'nt feel like very much at the time compared to what this lady saves. Also, it was confusing and frustrating. I realized that if I'm really going to do this, I had better study up, get organized and do it the right way! So... that's what I did. It is still a project in process and I'm still learning, but here are some photos of what I started. In her book, she teaches you how to make a coupon binder so that when you go to the store, it is easy! Wish me luck!!!

I know it's crazy and I may be a little too old for midnight showings of vampire movies... But I just can't help myself. For my birthday, Sam bought me tickets to the midnight preview of Eclipse! It was an interesting night. We started out with dinner at Red Robin and then went to get in line for the movie. Well while we were in line, it started raining, and then the power went out in the theatre. So that meant that could not let anyone in the theatre until it was back on. We stood in line for soo long. The line ended up wrapping half way around the parking lot, and the movie started 30 minutes late! We finally got home at 3:30am. We were sooo tired, but it was a great movie! So again... totally worth it!!!

I always thought I would be sad to see 30 come and go, but it did'nt bother me at all. I had a wonderful birthday and was woken up to a sweet surprise. Sam had actually coordinated his wrapping paper and gift bag to match! And it was cute paper! He got me 2 tickets to the twilight pre-view and this cute m&m machine along with a costco size bag of peanut butter m&m's. They are my favorite! He had a fun day planned for us and we had a great dinner at Texas Roadhouse with some family!

On this trip was fun because we went out to dinner for my 30th birthday. We went Logans Road house and had a great dinner. After dinner in the parking lot, Aubree was dancing to the music in the parking lot. It was soo cute!

Every year I go to the Silver Dollar Fair in Chico with my mom and sister. Even though I don't live there anymore... This year was no exception! This year we had Aubree and Lexi and my Uncle Jim. It was definately a different experience being pregnant! All that walking and standing was exhausting! We got to watch some pig races, play some games, and of course my favorite was all the bad bad food! I had corn on the cob, chocolate covered cheesecake, and a corn dog! Love the fair!

Our 2yr. Anniversary

It has been a hard and wonderful 2 years! Whoever said marriage was easy definately lied! But with every day that goes by, we learn more and more about each other and the day's just get better. Unfortunately, on this anniversary, I was going to be in Chico, soo we decided to celebrate early. It was a wonderful day. We went out to dinner at the Texas Road House and it was the best dinner ever! We had Filet Mignon, baked potato, salad, and a really yummy cheesecake that we had picked up at the Boise Farmers Market earlier that day. Sam got me some beautiful lillies, and one of my favorite movies "Dear John". It was a wonderful anniversary and I look forward to many more wonderful years with a wonderful guy! I love you babe!

20 Week Ultra Sound!

Today Sam and I got to go for our 20 week ultra sound. It was at the OBGYN Associates in Meridian. It was really fun to do it for the second time and having Sam with me to get to see the baby moving. They checked for all his body parts and measured everything to make sure that he was growing just right. We found out that he was 9 oz. and everything was perfect! We also decided on a name! It is going to be Mason James Pullenza!

Our First Ultra Sound at 16 weeks!

We had our first ultra sound on April 28th in California. Dr. Parsons would not do our ultrasound until 20 weeks so when I went to Chico for my usual visit, I decided to go to Paradise Ultrasound to get a sneek peek! It really was alot of fun. The only bummer part was that Sam was not with me. He was in Idaho, so we had to improvise! So we went thru the whole ultra sound and when she asked if I wanted to know what it was, we had her take a picture and seal it in an envelope so I could not see what it was. The plan was that I would wait a few days to open the envelope when I got back to Idaho. But when I called Sam later that day, he was soo excited that I opened the envelope in the car and we shared the news over the phone. There is kind of a funny thing that happened though while we were on the phone. We were so excited about talking about the envelope that I forgot that Chico has a no cell phone law while ou are driving. Well before I knew it, there were flashing lights! I was actually getting pulled over for talking on the phone!!! It was a bitter sweet moment. The shock that I felt when I opened the envelope was unreal. I was soo certain that we were going to be having a girl, that I had not even considered the possibility that we could have a boy. I have a client named Sherri that actually predicted that we would be having twin girls. She has predicted the sex of babies for years and had never been wrong, so I could not wait to tell her the news!

This week we found out that we have a baby on the way! We are soo excited! So, the way we found out is kind of a funny story. So for about the last 2 weeks I have not had much control over my bladder, and it has become slightly inconvenient! Well the other day, Sam and I were out looking at houses to buy and I had to find a restroom quick! So we pulled into Fred N Meyer and I ran inside as fast as I could! On that day and the days prior, I couldnt stop thinking about whether or not I was pregnant, and I was so tired of thinking about it non stop. So, i just happen to have a test in my purse that we had just picked up at the store, so I decided to take it while I was in the Fred N Meyer bathroom! It may not have been the best idea for reasons I just cant share, but let's just say that it was the best trip to a public bathroom I have ever had!

Today I was babysitting my niece, and we were having so much fun. Then I let my dog off his leash for 5 minutes and he pottied in the living room. I was so mad cause i just shampooed the carpets. So.. I was rubbing the spot with some cleaner, and ranting about how mad i was. Then... My niece who is not even 3 yrs. old yet came up to me and started rubbing my back and said "It's ok Tona, he did'nt mean to." And then she gave me a hug, and then went over and gave cooper (our dog) a hug.
It's just a reminder that it really is not the end of the world when those things happen. Whats funny is that it takes a 2 yr old to remind me!

I was just feeling inspired and wanted to share! I am reading this book right now called "Standing for Something" by Gordon B. Hinckley. It basically is a book to inspire you to want to be a better person. So the first chapter is on Love. I just wanted to share this little snippit.

Christmas Chicken!!!

Okay, I know Im a little late in telling this story, but it is so funny, that i had to tell it. So, the day after thanksgiving, Sam and I stayed up all night and waited in line to go shopping with all the other crazy people in the world. Well we got hungry and decided to go to an early breakfast at Denny's. Well since im not much of a breakfast girl, of course i had to get my favorite... Chicken Strips! We were eating and i was being immature and playing with my food. Partly because i was soo tired and delirious. So, i wrapped up a chicken strip to go to snack on later in case i got hungry. Well i forgot that I had it in my purse. (I forgot to mention that we were in LA visiting his family) So this chicken traveled along way.
So , december came and sam and i have an advent calendar that we trade of days giving each other little gifts every day of december. It doesnt even have to cost money, but something creative. I am not much of a comedian but thought it would be so funny to wrap up the chicken strip from our trip and give it to him. It went over really well, and he said that i was the funniest thing ever. But what i didnt know was that the chicken strip was gonna make another appearence. On christmas morning, we were opening presents and we got to our stockings, and i was was taking some really cute earings out of my stocking and then put my hand back inside to only pull out the same chicken strip that i had given him 3 weeks earlier. Only, this time it had eyes, a mouth, and a santa hat glued to it. We have never laughed so hard. I'll never be able to think of chicken strips in the same way.

The Love Dare

So, I dont know much about being married since im still new at this whole thing. But, I do know that it is not easy. In the beginning, you are imaging that everyday will be filled with nothing but good times and laughs. You think that all of the "wooing" that is happening will always be there. What you don't realize is that life has a way of creeping in and changing all of that. Thats why it is so important to always try to let your husband or wife know that you love them unconditionally.
The reason for my motivational speech is because I saw a movie the other night that was totally inspiring. It was called Fire Proof. It was about a man and a woman who were on the verge of divorce. They could'nt stand eachother, and said nothing but hurtful things to each other. The husband confided in his dad, and his dad asked him to wait for 4o days until he made his decision on whether or not they would want to stay married. The next day he got a book in the mail from his dad. It was called the Love Dare. It was filled with 40 Pages. Each day he was to read a page and do exactly what the page said. His dad promised him that it would not be easy, and he would probably be rejected, but in the end, it would be worth it.

This book inspired me so much, I actually got the book. It has 40 days of love dares in it, and I am following the book and doing exactly as it says. I am only on day 2, but i can already tell that this experiment is going to change my relationship. We already have a great marriage, but that doesnt mean that you should stop trying to improve it.

So... with that said... I am going to challenge every one who reads my blog to follow the love dares that i post. Everyday i will post the dare that i am on in the book. There will be an inspirational thought and then a dare. Do not take it lightly, but with real intent to improve your relationship with the person you love. Let me know if anyone has any success!

Day 1: Love is Patient
" Be completely humble and gentle: be patient, bearing with one another in love."- Ephesians 4:2

The first Dare is fairly simple. Our words often reflect the condition of our heart. For the next day, Resolve to demonstrate patience and to say nothing negative to your spouse at all. So, I know our wedding is kinda old news, but i just got our official wedding photos, and I'm dying to share. This was truly the best day of my life. I was beginning to think that there was no such thing as the perfect person for me, and then i met Sam. In no way is he perfect, nor am I, but he is perfect for me. I have to thank my family for being patient with me while i searched for the "perfect one", because we all know, it took me a while. Through all my relationships, i would look at other people and wonder... why do they look so genuinely happy? I didn't have a bad life by any means, but I probably faked alot of happiness.
When i met Sam, I found what it felt like to be genuinely happy. To just smile for no reason. My dad always told me that relationships shouldn't be that hard. My relationship with Sam is hard sometimes, but our love definitely comes easy. He is my best friend... And I am so thankful that my life has been blessed with him.

So, here is where we are moving! The red door is my favorite, and also the huge tree right in the front. It will be so great to get out of this little apartment, and have some room. Sam and i are very excited because i get to have my scrapbooking room, (which i have always had), but we have an extra bedroom now, and so he gets to have an art room! Sam and I had a really fun date night the other night. We decided to go miniature golfing. So, you know how men are always so confident that they are gonna win just because you are a girl? Well, i beat the pants off Sam that night!!! It was so much fun.

Ok, I am so excited because we are finally gettin out of the stinkin apartment. We found a house and it is so cute! It is 3 bedrooms with a huge walk in closet, and the cutest red front door. Thing s could'nt be better. We get to move in on October first and i cant wait to decorate for halloween. We will actually get trick or treaters! When we move in, i will post some pics.

Most Amazing Husband Ever!

I have absolutely been blessed with the most amazing husband in the whole world. It's days like today when you realize that all of the things that you ever fought about are just plain silly, and a waste of precious moments together.

Today, Sam completely surprised me with a few surprises. I was complaining of my back hurting, and he gave me the most amazing massage ever. I nearly fell asleep. I had spent the whole day in my pajamas because i was scrapbooking, and i looked absolutely horrible. He said that he had special plans for us, and that i should go shower and get dressed. I took a shower and made my self look acceptable and then he said that he had an errand for me to run. So, i left to go on this errand and when i got back, the lights were dimmed, and i looked in and the table was set and there was a huge bouquet of roses on the table. Also, next to the roses was a poem that he had written me. What was cute was that he put the poem on some of my scrapbooking paper, and decorated the page with a few of my scrapbooking buttons. It was so sweet, i cried. I know... totally mushy. Dinner was amazing, and then we slow danced to the song that we had our first dance to at our wedding.

To top it all off, he made me a baked apple dessert, with caramel syrup, vanilla ice cream, and , whipped cream.

I don't know what i did to deserve him, but i am one lucky girl!

Today, while we were there, she made this friend named Sandra. Sandra was older than she was but she really was attatched to her. They ran all over the place, and completely wore me out. So, i know im a little late on posting all this stuff, but better late than never. Right? So , these pictures were taken at the covered Bridge in Chico. We had a friend that owns Sachi Photography do them. We had so much fun taking these pictures. What i didnt know was that Sam had a little plan up his sleeve. At the time, I did not have a ring yet, and we were waiting till we could pay for it in cash, so Sam was really bummed out that i was not going to have a ring for our pictures. So... We get there and the photographer took us down to this spot and put us by this tree and told us to just chat for a minute while she adjusted her settings on her camera. The next thing i know, Sam is down on one knee, and proposing to me again, only this time, he pulls a ring out of his poccket. The photographer (Lyn) knew about the whole thing and she took pictures while he did it. It was very sweet and totally a surprise.

While Charly was here for Christmas I got to take her on her first roller skating adventure! My favorite picture is the "Pickle Face." That must have been one good pickle!
